Description
Single Panel version of a Multi Panel painting. Don't buy this image, it is only to show what the single panel would look like hanging on the wall.
I do a lot of three and even four panel painting prints because I like the modern look and it is quite an attractive means to decorate a wall. But not
everyone has the wall space for such a long decorative display, and some would prefer the more traditional rectangular painting format. So I have redone most of my multi-panel pieces as single panel rectangle works. Check out other pages of my site to see if I have posted a multi panel version of this painting/print.
I decided to do a couple of vertical long paintings, that could be used by people who need something to fill a vertical space. There's nothing more vertical than a waterfall. I like an artist named James Coleman who did a bunch of tropical Hawaiian scenes with waterfalls. So I decided to do one waterfall scene in his style. He always had thatched roof houses set back by waterfalls, and everything was, like overgrown with bougainvillea which lent a purplish - pinkish cast to the setting. Here in Hawaii we do have a lot of bougainvillea bushes, that's for sure. And the bougainvillea sends out lots of runners, long reaching branches, and they can easily overgrow just about anything if you don't keep cutting them back. So I started with a picture of Paradise Falls and added bougainvillea and a thatched Hawaiian hut, and a bamboo bridge to give it a look like James Coleman perhaps would have painted. Of course it comes out in my distinctive style and only vaguely looks like a Coleman.
