The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. After painting sort of blurry reef semi-abstract paintings I decided to do one with the colorful corals completely blurred together with the blues and greens of shallower water, and I came up with a colorful completely abstract painting. Since it started with corals and shallow water colors, I call it Tidal Pool. It is a very colorful statement piece to brighten up the room.
