The rugged Na Pali cliffs of Kauai North Shore remind me of some of O'Keeffe's blocky landscape forms, they are great fun to paint trying to capture the 3 dimensions by smearing planes of paint. Then I threw in some leaping Dolphins. And of course they had to be my favorite dolphins, the Striped Dolphin. I love these dolphins because of their blue swoosh stripes, It doesn't seem like any animal could develop swoosh designs like this without an artist painting them on, but they are real dolphins. I love to paint them.
