While painting my sea turtle painting, I realized the underwater reef I made was a really attractive environment for some colorful tropical fish, more than I fit into the turtle painting. And I wanted to make a couple of side paintings that could make a grouping, so I used part of the created reef and added colorful fish. The large fish is the Hawaiian state fish, a humuhumunukunukuapua'a or humuhumu for short. The other fish is tri-color wrasse.
