Artist's Description
I like Hawaiian coconut palm trees. I like the way the thin parallel leaflets overlap and interact. Usually I paint younger trees where the fronds are not so worn and yellowed, but in this painting I have the weathered leaflets twisting all around. It gives an interesting look. This painting is done in my acrylic style, which was thin layers of paint with no brush texture.
